IL PURGATORIO

The beach of Purgatorio, also known as the Mouth of Hell, is another beautiful beach of Argentario.

It is a very evocative, stony beach, protected by cliffs and the sea is clear.

How to get there: at the end of the road from locality La Maddalena go 9.1 Km, then take a path partially blocked by some boulders. The line is long and challenging (duration about 30 minutes), especially in the final part, where caution is advised.

Winds: exposure to south winds (Sirocco and Libeccio).
